Betting terminal answers

THE new UK government is being asked by a Greenock-based MSP to clarify its position on fixed odds betting terminals.

Stuart McMillan MSP has campaigned against the terminals which, he believes, have ruined lives by encouraging people to gamble too much money.

He said: “The new Conservative Culture, Media & Sport Secretary, John Whittingdale MP, had previously called for the machines to be rolled out in bingo halls and motorway service stations.
